Consulting Opportunity Revolving Fund Feasibility Study
Dayton Preservation Works, CDC
Dayton, OhiO

Dayton Preservation Works, CDC is seeking a consultant to complete a Feasibility Study to start a sustainable revolving fund to renovate vacant, historic residential properties in Dayton, Ohio’s underserved National Register neighborhoods.

Qualifications:
  • Prior success in creating feasibility studies that resulted in funding from the 1772 Foundation and other sources to launch a historic properties rehabilitation program.
  • Feasibility study and report to the 1772 Foundation due December 1, 2024
Consulting Budget: $20,000 (thanks to a 1772 Foundation matching grant).

Background: The consultant will work with a diversely experienced, congenial five-person board that has already completed considerable work to launch a historic properties revolving fund (e.g., formed the CDC; prioritized historic neighborhoods and identified strategic properties for stabilization and/or complete rehab; developed a high-level budget; applied for grants and government funding)

Dayton is the home of Paul Laurence Dunbar and the Wright brothers, The Dayton Aviation National Heritage Park, nine fascinating historic neighborhoods, a downtown bursting with historic adaptive reuse projects including the innovative Dayton Arcade complex, and a vibrant dining and arts scene.
