Preservation Properties

This is the name of the new for-profit entity created by Preservation Dayton, Inc. to facilitate the tax-advantaged transfer of historic properties to developers intending to restore/redevelop them.

Preservation Properties recently made it possible for architect Jeff Wray and developer Matt Stoermer to purchase the historic Dayton Power & Light Steam Plant building on East Third Street. Redevelopment work on the project - called "The Merc" - is already underway - and the site will soon offering exciting commercial and residential space, and perhaps a dramaric restaurant venue - just across the street from the Cannery.
